Executive Summary

Winter Springs, Fla. – Growing support for Republican candidates and increasing disapproval of President Barack Obama’s job approval highlight a recent Gravis Marketing poll completed in The State of Colorado. Online Political publication Human Events along with Gravis Marketing; a non-partisan marketing research firm based in Winter Springs, Fla. conducted a random survey of 695 likely voters in Colorado regarding statewide candidates. The poll was completed using Gravis Marketing IVR Automated Phone Call technology and carries a margin of error of plus/minus 4 percent.

Federal Recap

The Gravis Marketing poll was engaged by asking Colorado likely voters about their opinions on several Federal political issues. The 695 likely voters were first asked, “Do approve or disapprove of President Obama’s job performance?” 58 percent of those asked stated they disapprove of his job performance while 37 percent believe his job performance is good. Five percent of those asked were ‘unsure’ as to their opinion about his job performance.

The voters were then asked to inquire about their stance on current races that will be contested on November 4th, 2014 in The State of Colorado. “If the election for Senate were held today and the candidates were Republican Cory Gardner, Democrat Mark Udall, and Libertarian Gaylon Kent, whom would you vote for?” 48 percent of those polled would currently vote for Republican Cory Gardner, while 43 percent would back the incumbent, Democrat Mark Udall. Five percent remain undecided with only a few weeks prior to the election and four percent support the Libertarian candidate Gaylon Kent.

The next question in the Gravis Marketing poll asked about the voters choice for Governor by asking; “If the election for Governor were held today and the candidates were Republican Bob Beauprez, Democrat John Hickenlooper, and Libertarian Matt Hess, whom would you vote for?” 48 percent stated they would vote for Republican Bob Beauprez, 44 percent would cast a vote for incumbent Governor John Hickenlooper, six percent would currently vote for Matt Hess and three percent remain unsure.

When asked; “If the election for Attorney General were held today and the candidates were Republican Cynthia Coffman, Democrat Don Quick, and Libertarian David Williams, whom would you vote for,” the likely voters replied as follows. 44 percent indicated support for Republican Cynthia Coffman, 32 percent would vote for Democrat Don Quick, 13 percent are currently unsure and Libertarian candidate David Williams captured 11 percent of the potential vote.

The voters were then asked about the hotly contested battle for Secretary of State; “If the election for Secretary of State were held and the candidates were Republican Wayne Williams, Democrat Joe Neguse, and Libertarian David Schambach, whom would you vote for?” 39 percent replied that they would support Republican Wayne Williams, 37 percent indicated they would vote for Democrat Joe Neguse, 15 percent remain undecided at this time and eight percent support the Libertarian candidate Schambach.
