Scott Walker and continuing disapproval of the job performance of the President of the United States highlight a recent Gravis Marketing / Townhall.com poll. Gravis Marketing based in Winter Springs, Fla and Townhall.com conducted a random survey of 837 likely registered voters regarding current events in the State of Wisconsin. The poll carries a margin of error of plus/minus 3 percent and was conducting using Gravis Marketing’s automated phone calls (IVR) technology.

The Gravis Marketing / Townhall.com poll began by gathering the pulse of the 837 likely voters in Wisconsin about the job performance of the President of the United States Barack Obama. When asked on whether they approve or disapprove in the job performance of the President, 53 percent indicated they disapprove of his current job performance. 40 percent support the President’s job performance and 8 percent of those polled were unsure of their opinion.

When asked to choose between potential candidates for the Presidential Office in 2016 between Democrat Hillary Clinton or Republican Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, 51 percent stated they’d vote for Ryan in 2016, 44 percent indicated that their vote would go to the Democratic candidate Clinton while a mere 4 percent were unsure of their voting preference.

The focus on the Gravis Marketing poll then shifted to the battle for State Governor by asking the potential voters; “If the election for Governor were held today and the candidates were Republican Scott Walker and Democrat Mary Burke, whom would you vote for?” 50 percent of those polled indicated that they would currently vote for the Incumbent Governor Scott Walker, 46 percent would replace him with Burke while only 4 percent were unsure as to whom they will vote for on November 4th, 2014.

The likely voters in Wisconsin were then asked, “If the election for Secretary of State were held today and the candidates were Republican Julian Bradley and Democrat Cherie LaFollette, whom would you vote for?” LaFollette currently holds a minor edge; receiving 44 percent of the potential vote, while 43 percent stated they’d vote for Bradley and 13 percent remain undecided.
